Summary
NEARLY half of all employees would demand a pay rise if they found at that colleagues at the same level were paid more than them, research has revealed. The finding, from a poll of 1,148 workers commissioned by business advisors PwC, was carried out in the wake of the introduction of the new Equality Act.
Among the provisions of the Act is a new law preventing pay secrecy clauses being enforceable in certain circumstances. Employees will now be able to able to break these so called "gagging clauses" to discuss pay with colleagues, providing this is done to establish if they are being discriminated against.See the full content of this document
