FOOTROT is costing sheep producers as much as pounds 8.38 per ewe, according to a calculation of treatment and labour costs.

The figure, revealed at this week's NSA Sheep 2010 event, is based on analysis of 1,000 Coopworth ewes at FAI Farms near Oxford which has been taking part in a year-long monitoring programme.
