Summary

The Whitehouse Farm near Morpeth has been accredited as suitable for school visits under a national scheme to increase children's access to farmland and provide safe educational places for farm and countryside teaching.

The Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme (CEVAS) developed by Access to Farms (ATF) in partnerships with Defra, The Countryside Agency and DfES, allows teachers to visit farms with confidence, knowing that farmers and staff have been trained to help children get the most from their visits and that they need not be concerned about health and safety issues.
