Cricket: Durham Under-15s completed a memorable 2005 for the county by winning the Gulf Trophy Final in Dubai by 93 runs. Durham started slowly after winning the toss against Insportz Academy but Michael Turns and Benjamin Stokes led them from 20-2 after 12 overs to 175-6 at the end of the 25 overs. Michael Oughton's three for six and two wickets for Stuart Lobb saw the Academy bowled out for just 82. Durham's Academy Coach John Windows said: "This tour is all about player development, but to win the tournament is fantastic. The whole squad has contributed at some stage throughout the competition."
