THE debate on whether this bullying behaviour could be classed as racist is evidence of the complexity surrounding equality and diversity issues. I do not know if Jade Goody is a racist, but she and some of the other contestants used race as a weapon to bully, and that is racist behaviour.

Bullying in any shape or form is not acceptable and certainly if this behaviour had occurred in the workplace, it is very likely that the employer would have found themselves at an Employment Tribunal, having fallen foul of the Race Relations Act. This is a costly process in time, money, business and reputation.
