Summary
BRITISH film director and performance artist Andrew Ktting will be at the Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle, next week to talk about his new film, Ivul, which opens there today (certificate 15).
The film, in French with English subtitles, is called "unconventional but utterly absorbing" by the Tyneside. Set in the French Pyrenees, it tells of a boy, Alex, his four sisters and their eccentric Russian emigre father, Ivul, who orders his son never to set foot on his land again after a misdemeanour. Alex takes the command literally and takes to the roof of the house and the trees, from where he looks down on the family.See the full content of this document
