FRANKIE Dettori stole Lingfield's limelight yesterday as a 104-1 four-timer took him to 100 winners for the season.

The Italian's career has spanned the lifetime of all-weather racing in Britain and he was the appropriate star of the show on its 20th birthday. Dettori even managed to win one of the races at the first artificial surface fixture - at the Surrey course on October 30, 1989 - when he steered Hackforth home.
