Summary

WITH reference to the comments of John Warmingham (Voice of the North, April 11) when he suggested "too many of us are lying back and not doing anything for England": I signed up to the People's Pledge website where all members of the public, whether for membership of the European Union or against it, are attempting to persuade their parliamentary representatives to push for a vote on our continued membership.

I have received a reply to a letter sent to my local MP Kevan Jones, asking if he supported a vote on the future of remaining in the EU.
