QUALIFIER Kirk Shepherd last night shocked Wayne Mardle to book his place in the final of the Ladbrokes PDC World Championship.

Shepherd will meet Canada's former champion John Part in the New Year's Day decider after his victory over Mardle, who had eliminated 13-times winner Phil Taylor in Saturday's quarterfinals at London's Alexandra Palace.
