The number of seeds in the Lakeside World Championship has been increased from eight to 16 for 2007 ( but title holder Jelle Klaasen will not be among them.
A surprise 7-5 winner over compatriot Raymond van Barneveld in this year's final, the young Dutchman has failed to build on his Frimley Green triumph in subsequent tournaments and is only 19th in the British Darts Organisation's rankings before this week's prestigious Winmau World Masters in Bridlington. The Lakeside seedings have been taken straight from the current rankings, which means England captain Martin 'Wolfie' Adams will be number one seed ahead of Scotland's Gary Anderson and 17-year-old Dutch player Michael van Gerwen for the tournament which runs from January 6-14.See the full content of this document
