THERE were calls for safety improvements to a stretch of Northumberland road last night after a horror crash claimed the lives of three pensioners.
The accident happened at about 1.30pm on Saturday when a Rover car attempting to cross the dual carriageway near Swarland, south of Alnwick, and collided with a Saab that was travelling north on the A1.See the full content of this document
