County Durham Leagues

Summary

IF Saturday was Seaham Harbour's last appearance in the Warmseal Durham Senior League for some time they certainly went out in style as they walloped hosts Durham City by 110 runs.

With their position at the foot of the table already irretrievable before the match, Harbour batted as well as they have all season with Neil McKinney excelling with six fours and three sixes in his 78 which formed the bedrock of his side's 203-7. Seaham then got among the home batsmen immediately and, with Anthony Watson and Stuart Lacey picking up three cheap wickets apiece, Durham were dumped for just 93. The win left the visitors just 16 points behind second-bottom Marsden, and ruing the deduction of 30 points that could now cost the founder club their status.
