Shell's crisis has claimed a third victim in the shape of chief financial officer Judy Boynton, following the resignations of chairman Sir Philip Watts and oil and gas chief Walter Van de Vijver.

The Anglo-Dutch giant's problems revolve around its booking of oil and gas reserves, which, for 2002, will be some 4.35bn barrels lower than previously thought.
