AFAMOUS statue is to be moved 90 feet after a heated council debate yesterday. Durham County Councillors overlooked more than 6,000 objections to the removal of the statue of Lord Londonderry in the city's Market Place when the planning committee voted by eight votes to six to move "the man in the horse" 90ft, nearer to a Tesco store.
