SPORTING leases are a potential further income stream for landowners. If you are renewing or entering into a sporting lease, there are issues for both landowner and sporting tenant to consider.

What quarry can be shot under the terms of a lease? The term 'sporting rights' really refers to species that can be hunted in a locality. However, sporting leases normally refer to shooting only, especially with the Hunting Act in mind.
