Summary
One NorthEast's Regional Language Network is today [Thursday] launching a Language Speakers Survey to map foreign language skills in our region. It is part of an initiative across the North (simultaneous surveys will be coordinated by Regional Language Networks in the North West and in Yorkshire and the Humber) to collate information on language skills.
Zlie Gurin, manager of One NorthEast's Regional Language Network, said, "Foreign language skills are vital for economic development and international trade ( many inward investors want to know that they can meet their recruitment needs before choosing to locate to our region. Our on-line survey, which takes only a short time to complete, will provide vital information that could help attract new inward investment to the region, creating new jobs and prosperity in the North East."See the full content of this document
