I WAS delighted to read in The Journal of the appointment of John Harrison, elected Mayor of North Tyneside, as head of the Tyne and Wear Transport Policy Board. And I completely agree with your leader comment that "he understands the importance of bridging the enormous gulf between it and the South".

As the developers of Cobalt Business Park, North Tyneside, we believe that in order to make progress as a city region there needs to be a combination of improvements in infrastructure.
