WHILE the rivers have been out of sorts recently, David Willmott was out before the rise in water levels fishing halibut pellet on the Tees and landed a superb 13lb 7oz barbel - a new record for the river.
Recently chub up to 4lb 12oz have been reported from the Wear around Durham where lots of small dace and perch are also providing sport, while bream around the 3lb mark are providing sport on the Tees around Stockton. The Tyne has been too high for a lot of coarse anglers mid week but should be in fine form for the weekend.See the full content of this document
