DETECTIVE Constable John Jones, who became a police officer in 1992, became responsible for cultivating, recruiting and managing "intelligence sources", the court was told yesterday.
At the time of his alleged misconduct, he was in the Operational Support and Development Unit in Northumbria Police's Crime Operations Department.
