Business leaders are calling on Chancellor Gordon Brown to use this month's Budget to cut public spending growth and restrain borrowing to pave the way for reductions in business taxes.

In its submission today to the Chancellor ahead of the March 21 Budget, the CBI warned that a growing tax burden threatens to drive firms to relocate overseas, with potentially damaging consequences for employment and the public finances.
