THE most vulnerable in society are being hit the hardest by cutbacks and the effects of economic austerity, the leader of Catholics in England and Wales has warned.
The Most Rev Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, said developments such as record youth unemployment were bringing "hardship and distress" to those least able to bear them.
