FIRMS are revising their job and investment plans after a "sharp fall" in confidence among senior business leaders, a new report has warned.
Research by the CBI among 122 businessmen and women found that seven out of 10 were less optimistic about the economic outlook than they were in August. Two out of five were revising their workforce plans and a third were looking again at how far they could invest and expand, with many adopting a "wait and see" attitude before reaching decisions. CBI director general John Cridland said 2011 had been a year of "disappointed expectations", with the eurozone crisis now causing "extra headwinds" for business.See the full content of this document
