A BURSAR and company director of one of the North's most prestigious seats of learning yesterday admitted stealing almost half a million pounds from the funds.
Christine Starkey, 59, was entrusted with the finances at St Chad's College, Durham, whose alumni include polar explorer Robert Swan and Bishop of Worcester the Rt Rev John Inge, despite having a previous conviction for stealing thousands of pounds from a garage.See the full content of this document
