WHEN Steve Bruce saw Jordan Henderson labouring back after a run upfield, it brought back memories. Unpleasant memories. There and then Sunderland's manager should have known it was not going to be his day.

In a career studded with silverware, Bruce played in League Cup, FA Cup and European finals, and Premier League title deciders. He was 25 when he played at Wembley - against Sunderland - but it did not negate the shock of another big match five years down the line.
