Fire broke out in a home and spread to a neighbouring property in Houghton-le-Spring.
Firefighters were called to the end-terrace bungalow on Greenwood Avenue at 11.20pm on Tuesday. The smoke spread to the adjoining home and activated the smoke alarm but, fortunately, no-one was injured.See the full content of this document
