MAGIC was in the air as a Northumberland town came alive to host one of its most exciting football fixtures in a generation. Fans flocked in their thousands to Berwick Rangers' Shielfield Park ground as Scottish giants Celtic came to town.

The feisty Scottish Cup match turned Berwick into a sea of the club's amber and black, while coach-loads of Celtic fans crossed the border on what was a bitterly cold, but sunny winter afternoon.
