IT'S 4pm on a cold, rainy Friday afternoon. I'm standing at the edge of a sodden football pitch, the rain lashing around me, surrounded by big burly men and a crowd of rowdy supporters swigging beer from plastic pint glasses.

The atmosphere is electric. Looking around, the stands are packed. Despite the rain, hundreds of people have piled into the grounds to watch us and tuck into the traditional pie-and-peas plus pint combo that accompanies our performances.
