As an ex-employee (37 years) of the local authority, one fact that you did not see fit to print in the screaming headlines report about pensions (The Journal, Monday) is that all local authority workers contribute to these schemes whilst in employment with said authorities, 5pc manual workers, 6pc clerical and management, of their salary.
