A potential split is opening up in the "no" campaign against regional government after a senior Tory revealed plans to set up a business-led group to oppose home rule.

Until now, opposition to the Government's proposed North-East Assembly has been led by "metric martyr" Neil Herron who sought to run a "people's campaign" free of party political interference.
