The number of anti-social behaviour orders issued in the North- East could soar after the Government announced fly-tippers would now be caught under the law.
Home Office Ministers have announced new powers for the Environment Agency to apply for Asbos ( along with councils and police ( in a bid to crack down on dumping, vandalism and noise nuisance. It comes as the department revealed 145 Asbos had been issued in the Northumbria Police area up to June this year ( more than twice the English average.See the full content of this document
