The deal to rescue gold sunk on the HMS Sussex has come under fire from archaeologists.

The Council for British Archaeology called the agreement between the Government and Odyssey Marine "a blatant piece of heritage asset stripping" and expressed concerns that salvaging gold would take priority over historical matters.
